Do y’all remember when I did the Mummy Tag back in 2018? If you’re new to my blog, you can catch up on that post here. I initially planned to do another Mummy Tag in 2019, but I decided to wait until Teni was old enough to join me and answer the questions herself 💃. I mean, how fun would that be? Although I can’t wait, I have to wait 😜.
In the meantime, today’s post is all about the drum roll Parents Tag! 🎉 This is my take on a series of questions for parents—either to see who knows their child better or as a way to reflect on the parenting journey so far.
For our version, I grabbed 10 random questions online and had both myself and my husband (aka Baby Zaddy) answer them. I wrote down his responses exactly as he said them (raw and unfiltered!). Most tags like this are done as videos, but y’all already know your girl loves to write it all down. So here’s our blog-style Parents Tag! Enjoy and feel free to join the fun if you’re inspired. 😊
Parents Tag Q/A
1. Has your relationship changed since having your child?
- Daddy: Yes. The way we do things is different. We spend more time together, and most of our conversations revolve around our daughter.
- Mummy: Definitely yes. I think our relationship got even better. We have so much more to talk about, and every decision we make now has to be around our daughter first.

2. Does it scare you that you're responsible for someone’s life?
- Daddy: When she was just born, yes. But now, not so much. It feels less stressful now.
- Mummy: Yes and no. At first, we were worried about everything—like even how she was breathing (hahaha). Now, we just go with the flow. We remind ourselves that our role is to guide and support her, not to stress over every little thing.
Teni was just 1 month old here😍 |
Still as new Parents. This was in 2018 and Teni was a lil' over 6 months here |
Now as Parents to a 2-year-old...Ewww, time truly flies fast😘 |
3. What’s the best thing about parenting?
- Daddy: Hearing her say “Daddy, I love you” or “Where are you?” The excitement on her face when I come home is pure bliss.
- Mummy: Having a mini-me! Watching her mimic my behavior and grow every day is just beautiful. It’s not perfect, but I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything.

4. When your child throws tantrums in public, how do you feel?
- Daddy: Embarrassed.
- Mummy: Honestly, I just deal with it. I don’t even think about how I feel in the moment 😂
All Teni wanted here was to stay here all day/night and keep playing with the balloons. Her face says it all😂 |
- Daddy: Ideally two more, but childcare expenses are another story. Let’s see what happens, one kid at a time (hahaha).
- Mummy: “Maybe” one more... #IfYouKnowYouKnow.
The face I'm giving my husband for the statement "Ideally, I want 2 more..."😹 |

6. Did you realize how expensive kids are?
- Daddy: Cost wasn’t on my mind. I just wanted to be a father. But yeah, raising a family abroad isn’t cheap.
- Mummy: As a planner, I saw the expenses coming. Having her in Sweden gave us a preview, but moving to Canada was another ballgame. Childcare here is a whole different story.

7. Proudest and most frustrating parenting moments?
- Daddy:
- Proudest: When she says, “That’s my Daddy!” or runs to me with excitement at school pickup.
- Frustrating: When she was younger and couldn’t express herself, or when she got sick, and we didn’t know how to help.
- Mummy:
- Proudest: When she says “Thank you, Mummy” or “I love you.” Her sweet words melt my heart.
- Frustrating: Those tantrums, though! And when she tears up her books or throws things around. I try to stay calm, but whew, it’s not always easy.
Reintroducing my best girl. Sometimes she sits pretty with her Mickey and sometimes she is all over the place😹 |
8. How do you discipline your child?
- Daddy: We talk her through situations or distract her. Sometimes we raise our voices to let her know we’re serious.
- Mummy: Same here. She’s just a curious 2-year-old exploring her world. Distraction works best, but parents, don’t let their cuteness fool you! (Haha, balance is key.)
Messages like this keep me going on very difficult days |
8. How has your relationship with friends been since you had a child?
- Daddy - I only have a few friends to start with. However most of my friends were fathers before me, so there wasn't really any difference per se
- Mummy - For me, I have different friends for different situations. If I have questions that relate to Parenting, I sort of drift to my friends with kids. Generally, my relationship with most of my close friends has stayed the same but we may not have that free time or be as close as before. Everyone is busy with adulting at the moment😄
9. Finish these sentences:
- Daddy: “You know you’re a dad when somebody wakes you up when you don’t want to wake up”
- Mummy: “You know you’re a mom when using two hands to finish a task feels like a luxury.
10. One phrase that sums up parenting?
- Daddy: Exciting, stressful, and rewarding.
- Mummy: Beautiful, tiring, and requires lots of patience.
